All trips are by executive coach with toilet and depart from the corner of  Eastfield and Grange Park BS9 4BU

The cost of the visit includes a tip to the coach driver.

 

All visits are now fully subscribed.

We are pleased that everyone who applied has been given their first choice garden. A waiting list is now in operation if there are any cancellations.

Deadline for payment: Wednesday 30 April 2025.

Details for payment have been sent via email.

Cancellations: If you have been allocated a place and cannot attend, please contact Sarah who will try to reallocate your space and refund you. Cancellations within 2 weeks of the visit date will not normally be refunded.

Full day visit

 

Morton Hall – Private visit. Eight acres of garden around a late 18th century manor house with breathtaking views.  All year-round interest, with a woodland rockery, Japanese style woodland garden and a series of linked garden rooms. Then to nearby

Spetchley Park – famous for peonies planted by Ellen Willmot, the famous Victorian horticulturist. 30 acres of formal and informal gardens, sweeping lawns, lake views and woodland glades

b) Thenford Arboretum and Gardens, near Banbury, Oxfordshire

Full day visit

Home of Michael and Anne Heseltine

Private visit with lunch.

The 70-acre arboretum features more than three thousand different trees and shrubs, together with extensive herbaceous borders, water gardens, an alpine trough garden, a sculpture garden, a rose garden and a rill.

c) Badminton House Gardens, South Gloucestershire

Wednesday 27 August

Afternoon visit.

Private gardens of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort.  Formal beds surround the house.  Roses and dahlias in the summer with herbaceous perennials in soft summer colours.  Separate large Walled Gardens provide fruit and vegetables as well as cut flowers. Afternoon private tour including tea and cake.
