The curator of the University of Bristol Botanic Garden will explore how flowering plants (angiosperms) arose, diversified, and co-evolved with their pollinators.

Illustrated by his beautiful photographs taken through the seasons, award winning garden photographer, Jason Ingram will discuss how he captures the spirit of a garden in wide and macro detail, understanding the light and how to control it. Technical tips and tricks will be revealed throughout the conversation as he uncovers his working practice.

Dyffryn Fernant, Christina’s garden, is a personal statement, her response to the landscape in which it sits, under the Preseli hills, one mile from the sea in Pembrokeshire. In this richly illustrated talk, she explains the motivation behind the making of it, how she dealt with various inhospitable environments, some of her triumphs and disasters, hopes and desires for the future.

Harriet was the head gardener at Whichford Pottery for many years, becoming well-known for creating spectacular container displays all year round. She lectures, teaches and writes about container planting. She wrote and provided most of the images for a book about the gardens at the Cotswold Wildlife Park with Tim Miles and her book, "Pots", was published by Frances Lincoln in 2022. Harriet will whizz around the year month by month with tips for keeping your potted displays looking good, and give some ideas for plants which shine in each month too.

Liz is on a mission to teach people about edible wild plants and now spends her days writing and teaching about foraging for wild food. She teaches full and half day courses at beautiful locations near Abergavenny. Maybe some of you may be inspired to join one.

Penny is a local garden designer and cut flower farmer. She is a member of Flowers from the Farm and designed its garden at Chelsea Flower Show 2026.

Mike Nelhams, Wisley-trained, and retired Curator of the fabulous Tresco gardens off the Cornish coast now has a role promoting them. He has written books, acts as an RHS judge, appeared on TV and leads many tours around the world. His speciality is, of course, plants which thrive in a Mediterranean climate .
